In this lecture, you’ll hear four skilled experts in various fields of medicine and communications discuss the overall impact that vast amount of inaccurate and unsubstantiated information had on the world during the COVID-19 pandemic. The infodemic of 2020 and beyond has led to information voids, vaccine hesitancy, and the inability to properly dispel real-time insights from community leaders to the public.

Through our in-depth conference lecture and accredited education activity, you’ll learn how to explain the size and scope of the COVID-19 infodemic and describe how risk communication needs to evolve based on our learnings from the pandemic. You’ll also be able to discuss the role of preventative medicine, identify opportunities for increased support of prevention, and explain how storytelling can be incorporated into risk communication strategies.
