Sleep Health Module
Module Overview

Part of the Lifestyle Medicine Core Competencies program, this topic module focuses on Sleep Health and contains two units:

  • Sleep Physiology, Behavior, and Assessment | Csilla Veress, ND, LAc
  • Circadian Physiology and Sleep Health | Csilla Veress, ND, LAc

Sleep health is a relatively new field of study in the realm of lifestyle medicine, and therefore the scientific literature regarding sleep health is limited. The purpose of this presentation is to provide an overview of the key concerns associated with improper sleep habits and how best to incorporate a sleep health component into your clinical practice. It will discuss sleep physiology, the physical and behavioral conditions that are impacted by sleep patterns, and how changes in lifestyle related to sleep can have a profound impact on your patients.
