The U.S. Preventive Services Task Force and The Community Preventive Services Task Force Update, 2023
The U.S. Preventive Services Task Force and The Community Preventive Services Task Force Update
The U.S. Preventive Services Task Force (USPSTF) is a leading independent panel of nationally renowned, non-federal experts in prevention and evidence-based medicine. Its recommendations are directed to primary care clinicians and practices and are also relevant for health plans, insurers and public health planners. The Agency for Healthcare Research and Quality (AHRQ) is mandated by Congress to support the work of the USPSTF. In this session, we will present an overview of recent recommendations and an update on the newest methodologic developments of the USPSTF. We will also describe resources for accessing and disseminating the USPSTF recommendations. The Community Preventive Services Task Force (CPSTF) provides evidence-based findings and recommendations about community preventive services, programs, and other interventions aimed at improving population health.
