Jill Waalen, MD, MS, MPH
Jill Waalen, MD, MS, MPH is a clinical biostatistics consultant at the Scripps Research Translational Institute. She is Board-Certified in Preventive Medicine, is a Fellow of the American College of Preventive Medicine, and serves as Associate Director of the General Preventive Medicine Residency Program at the University of California, San Diego. In addition to conducting her own research focused on digital medicine and consulting on study design and data analysis with researchers at SRTI, Dr. Waalen serves as director for several biostatistics courses focused on equipping scientists with the statistical knowledge and programming skills for advanced data analysis. She is an author on more than 115 peer-reviewed publications and currently serves as Statistics Editor for the Nature Digital Medicine. She has held several leadership positions for ACPM, including Chairperson of the annual Board Review Course and Director of the In-Service Examination.
