Many adolescents now spend up to 8 hours a day on screens, as much or more time than they spend sleeping or in school About 50% of teens have experienced cyberbullying. Healthcare professionals including primary care and preventive medicine physicians, educators, behavioral health providers, and public health practitioners often lack sufficient training in evidence-based screening, prevention strategies, family guidance, and risk communication related to digital media exposure among youth. Continuing education is needed to improve clinicians’ competence and confidence in identifying problematic screen use, providing preventive anticipatory guidance to families on healthy digital habits, recognizing mental health warning signs associated with social media exposure, and implementing developmentally appropriate interventions that support youth well-being and resilience.

To acess this course, participants must:
