In our PM-22 lecture, The Impact of Cannabis on Public Health, we offer vital and critical information given by key experts in the field of cannabis research and medicine. Using unbiased and data-backed research, our lecture covers everything from the health benefits of cannabis to the comparison of tabaco and its legal ramifications within the public sector.

With the growth of the cannabis industry, public health and preventative medicine experts are taking a deeper look into the challenges, benefits, stigma, and regulations related to the controversial drug.

At the end of the lecture, our goal is for each physician to gain a deeper understanding of the impact of cannabis on public health and be able to do the following:

• Summarize the current understanding of the benefits and harms of cannabis
• Identify which age groups use cannabis at the highest rates
• Describe three current policy issues related to cannabis in the U.S.
