In our comprehensive lecture, you’ll hear from a variety of our esteemed ACPM colleagues and partners who have been instrumental in the work of getting the nation back to its former health. You’ll also get an exclusive review of the origin of the NIH Office of Research on Women’s Health and the principles and strategic priorities that guide women’s health research across the NIH.
Upon the completion of the lecture, you’ll be able to understand the difference in the appropriate treatment for Cardiovascular Disease (CVD) for women, discuss the rising rate of maternal mortality in the U.S. – specifically for racial and ethnic minority groups, and identify the affects that COVID-19 has had on the cardiovascular system as a whole.
